New Cyclelogistics partner GO! Berlin is focusing on electric cargo bikes for urban logisticsGO! Berlin is focusing on environmentally friendly deliveries in the context of urban logistics by using cargo bikes. A cargo bike replaces a conventional courier vehicle and is ideal for small deliveries in conurbations.
In large cities around the world, the need for courier and express services has been increasing continuously for years. Environmentally friendly modes of transport that do not contribute to climate change are becoming ever more important as we look to the future. Electric cargo bikes have the potential to fulfil these criteria in industries such as the urban courier service. With a maximum load capacity of 100 kg in the sturdy transport crate, up to 250 km operating range and speeds of up to 25 km/h, e-bikes are an ecological alternative when it comes to delivery vehicles. In addition, they make getting stuck in traffic and having to search for a parking space a thing of the past. And another advantage: they help to reduce transport emissions. Thus, this environmentally friendly means of transportation is completely in line with German and EU transport policies.
‘We are delighted that we can fulfil our customers’ demands for ecological logistics concepts in inner-city areas by using these new e-bikes,’ says Wolfgang M. Sacher, CEO of GO! Holding AG, Berlin. ‘With this project, GO!
is taking a further step towards achieving sustainability.’
