London delegation visits Cyclelogistics partner San Sebastian to learn from their experience on sustainable citylogistics
The concept of sustainable city logistics gets more and more attention: Cyclelogistics partner San Sebastian recently received visit of six London municipalities interested in best practices on sustainable city logistics and electric vehicles.
The visitors were shown the latest steps the city has taken towards sustainable mobility (a new bicycle tunnel, new public e-bike sharing stations,…) and the achievements reached within the Cyclelogistics Project, such as the new underground bicycle parking and the location of the upcoming micro consolidation centre. They also dropped by the office of TXITA, to learn how a cyclelogistics company works.
Knowledge sharing is an important component of European projects such as Cyclelogistics: not only between project partners, but also with others like these London municipalities. Learning from each other’s experiences (success stories and failures) creates better understanding of what works and what does not; and helps to achieve our goal of less emissions by distribution of goods.
