Cargo bikes are used every day by thousands of individuals all over Europe. Individuals found cargo bikes as a great tool to make their everyday errands simpler and more efficient. At CCCB (CityChangerCargoBike) we call these individuals Local Heroes.

Christina is a mother of two small children. She and her husband live in a rather rural area, about 5 kilometers from the center of the 10,000-inhabitant town of Gleisdorf. The region is quite hilly, and gravel paths instead of paved roads are not uncommon.

“It’s been a few months since we purchased our cargo bike and now we go everywhere with the wind in our hair. My daughter took a while to adjust to it, but now she loves it, especially when we’re riding on cobblestones when she says ‘eeeeeeh’ the whole time.”

Why did you decide to buy a cargo bike? “To have a substitute to my second car and because where I live it is possible to get around by bike. I can use it every day, for any kind of trip: from a ride with my dog to going to work and doing my grocery shopping.”
